Welcome To the DSISD Career and Technical Education Site
Career technical education courses are offered to students utilizing the cluster concept. Students enroll in a specific course or program of courses. Basic skills required for a specific occupational area may be taught by rotating students through a series of related courses and a variety of instructors. The overall goal of the program is to prepare students for post-secondary education and/or to go directly into the work force.
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! The Student Services staff includes our Career and Technical Education Principal/Director, Luke Siebert; supported by executive secretary Jami Pond, and counselors, Tim Zimmerman and Cathy Knight. They are supported by student services secretary, Sally Beauchamp, who takes care of attendance, parking permits, student data, and clerical tasks.
Student Services staff work together to keep the Career and Technical Education programs working smoothly for the 500 students we serve in Delta and Schoolcraft Counties. Our doors are always open, and we welcome our students and parents to contact us to discuss any concerns that may arise. We are linked up to Power School, which is a good way to check on student attendance, progress, the school calendar, and news with valuable information like scholarship deadlines. Our secretaries can direct your call to the person you would like to speak with. Their phone numbers are 786-9300, ext. 341 and 301.
